How to report a listing or user

1 MIN READ ยท UPDATED 1 AUG 2026

If something on UK Junction breaches our policies, a misleading listing, a suspicious message, or a prohibited item, reporting it takes a few seconds and helps keep the platform safe for everyone.

Reporting a listing

  1. Open the listing
  2. Select Report this listing (found near the listing details)
  3. Choose the reason that best matches the issue
  4. Add any extra detail that would help our team, then submit

Reporting a user or message

There's no separate report-a-user button, reports are tied to a listing. If a message or user is the problem, open the listing the conversation relates to (the chip at the top of the conversation links to it) and select Report this listing. Our moderation team reviews the report against our policies and looks at the account behind it, not just the listing.

What happens after you report

Our moderation team reviews reports and takes proportionate action where our policies have been breached, this can range from requiring a listing edit, to removing content, to suspending an account. We protect reporters and do not routinely share who made a report with the person being reported.

Urgent safety concern? If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the police on 999, or 101 for non-emergencies, first, then let us know so we can assist and take any necessary platform action.

Reporting something illegal

If content appears to be illegal under UK law, please report it immediately, we take our responsibilities under the Online Safety Act 2023 seriously and prioritise urgent reports. See our Trust & Safety Policy for more.

Tip: Reporting doesn't guarantee removal, our team reviews each report against our actual policies, and will only act where those policies have genuinely been breached.
