Listing moderation

Listings are checked against our policies before they go fully live, and can be removed or flagged if reported afterwards.

Email or account verification confirms control of a contact method. Look for the verified account badge, though it is one signal, not a guarantee.

Every listing has a Report option reviewed by our moderation team.

Staying safe when meeting up

Most transactions on UK Junction go smoothly, a little care goes a long way.

Meet in a public place
Choose somewhere well-lit and busy for the first meeting, a supermarket car park or town centre works well.

Keep communication on-platform
Our messaging keeps a record and helps us assist you if something goes wrong. Be cautious of anyone who pushes you to move the conversation elsewhere immediately.

Never pay or transfer money before seeing an item
Be wary of requests for upfront deposits, bank transfers to “hold” an item, or unusually urgent pressure to pay.

Check the item before you pay
Inspect goods in person where possible before completing payment.

Trust your instincts
If a deal feels too good to be true, or a buyer or seller is pressuring you, it's fine to walk away and report the listing.

Prohibited items & conduct

The following are never permitted on UK Junction, alongside anything else illegal under UK law.

Not permitted

  • Weapons, ammunition, or items requiring a licence you cannot provide evidence for
  • Counterfeit or unauthorised replica goods
  • Stolen goods, or items you do not have the right to sell
  • Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia intended for illegal use, or restricted substances
  • Animals sold in breach of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 or without required licensing
  • Content that is fraudulent, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit involving minors
  • Attempts to circumvent identity verification, moderation, or payment safeguards
  • Other content or offers that are illegal under UK law

As a platform that hosts user-generated content, UK Junction takes its responsibilities under the Online Safety Act 2023 seriously, including assessing illegal content and helping users report it. We publish this Trust & Safety information alongside our Terms & Conditions and respond to law enforcement requests in accordance with applicable UK law.
