Listing Quality Guide

1 MIN READ ยท UPDATED 1 AUG 2026

Create clear, accurate UK Junction listings that are easier to find and trust.

Write for the person searching

Put the recognisable item, role, property, service or offer in the title. Use the description for condition, specifications, requirements, availability and what is included. Avoid all capitals, repeated punctuation and keyword lists.

Price and location

Enter the real asking price or permitted pricing basis and disclose unavoidable charges. Use the most accurate location needed for useful search without publishing a private residential address unnecessarily.

Images

Lead with a clear, current image of the actual subject. Add useful angles and show faults rather than hiding them. Do not use collages that obscure detail, screenshots containing private data, or images copied without permission.

Vertical detail

Property listings should state tenure or rental basis and material terms; motors should include accurate vehicle details and condition; jobs should identify the employer, role basis and location; services should explain scope, qualifications where relevant and pricing basis.

After publishing

Preview the page, respond to genuine questions, correct mistakes and retire the listing when no longer available. Search placement depends on relevance, quality, freshness and permitted promotion, not on repeating the same advert.
